One of my favourite childhood memories was exploring for baby birds with my younger sister . 
We would explore the backyard for birds that had fallen from the nest and place them in a lined container . I guess at the age we wanted to keep them because we could love and care for them ...not possible but we didnt know this at the time . 
Mum would have to place them back in the nests ( it was never a large amount luckily ).
It is one of my favourites but its been a while since I thought about that memory until my daughter asked me today .She is about the same age now as to when I was collecting baby birds . 
What I find amazing is that memories can be stored and forgotten about for a while ...then reappear out of nowhere all because of a single brush stroke.
